Project Presentation

The first edition of the Agrotur Catalog, including 79 producers and 469 products, appears in 2016 in the framework of the AGROTUR Project – promotion of food products from the low-density territories of the Algarve in the tourism sector, particularly in the hotels and restaurants, developed in partnership by Tertúlia Algarvia, NERA – Associação Empresarial do Algarve and the University of Algarve.

In 2019, with the confirmation of the platform's usefulness and the high number of consultations by national and international visitors on agrifood products from the Algarve, the possibility arised, through the INOVA ALGARVE 2.0 project., stimulated by the initial partnership to which it joined the Intermunicipal Community of Algarve - AMAL, to launch a second edition of the Agrotur Catalog, expanding the range of producers to the whole territory of the Algarve and making it also available in english, french and spanish. The Agrotur Catalog currently contains 180 producers and 792 products.
