Brought by the Phoenicians centuries ago, it reached our shores carrying the entire history of a sea, making the placidity of an estuary its destination. Filled with the rumor of the East and the promise of the West, it surpassed the Pillars of Hercules, touched the divine and in one gulp, made civilization out of barbarians.
