MEDRONHO DO FOJO

In the northern interior of Serra de Monchique, on the Fojo farm, owned by the family for five generations, arbutus unedo are born and grow naturally, whose magical fruit, the arbutus, is the basis of this delicious spirit. In strict respect for the secular tradition, the ripe arbutus are selected and harvested, and then leavened until they are distilled by hand in the Fojo cellar, resulting in a balanced, strong and tasty "aguardente"; a great drink, especially after a meal or snack in the company of good friends. However, it should be drunk in moderation, so that all its qualities are fully enjoyed.
